Q: Where are you located?

A: I am now in my own studio located at:
918 S Horton St.
Seattle, WA 98134
Unit 317

Q: How do I book an appointment?

A: I have flash design sales here on my website every couple months! Before releasing a new set of flash, I send an email out to my mailing list to announce the day and time of the next drop. I typically sell 2-3 of each individual design, and you will need Paypal in order to purchase one. Once you have purchased a piece, my assistant, Cindra, will reach out to you about scheduling your appointment.

You can join the mailing list on the right hand side of this screen to get updates on flash, available designs, and other booking opportunities.

Q. Why do you focus on flash now?

A. The honest answer is that doing flash and pre-drawn designs has saved me so much time and energy and helped me move away from the life of burnout I found myself living in 2021. I found myself in a state of exhaustion from tattooing during the day and drawing in the evenings in what seemed like an endless cycle. Shifting my business model toward more flash and pre-drawn designs has allowed me to have more evenings with my husband, more excitement about my work, and more focus and presence during my time with my clients. As sad as I am to have to turn so many custom requests away, I know that if I want to keep doing the work I love , I need to keep good boundaries and make sure I’m working in a way that is personally sustainable.

Q. What do “flash” and “pre-drawn” mean?

A. “Flash” refers to a design that is offered up by a tattoo artist and it often repeatable. This means that each piece of flash can be tattooed multiple times on several clients. Personally, I usually offer my flash designs up to be tattooed 2-3 times each, occasionally more. “Pre-drawn” usually refers to a design that an artist offers up just once as a fully-designed project. These are often (but not always) larger concepts and may be designed for a specific part of the body (e.g. a large scale piece designed to fit on a back or chest). Not everyone uses these terms in exactly the same ways, so be sure to check with each individual artist. For me, though, the definitions listed here are accurate.

Q: Is there any way to book a custom tattoo with you?

A. Currently, I am only taking new custom bookings via a random lottery (this is the best way I have found to be fair, and not have to spend hours going through inquiries trying to determine which ones are a good fit. For more info about getting your name in the drawing, sign up for the mailing list!

Q: Who is Cindra?

A: Cindra (pronounced Sin-druh) is my assistant, aka, the magical fairy godmother of tattoo emailing, booking, and scheduling. She’s wonderful. I could not do what I do without her; when it comes to logistics, she’s my gal. For most of the booking process, Cindra will be the one in contact with you. She works remotely from home, so you may never actually see her, but we stay in near constant contact, and she knows what’s up.

Also, because we have such continuous communication, if you are rude or unkind to her, I will know about it. So be nice to Cindra.

Q: How soon will I get a response?

A: Usually Cindra is pretty speedy about responding to emails. I, on the other hand, am not as quick. Any delay in response is likely due to me. That being said, please allow a few days for responses about bookings, and at least a week for all other inquiries.

Q. Could you just tell me if my idea is even something you’d want to do?

A. Unfortunately I’m not able to screen every idea at this time. Chances are, if your idea is in my style, has to do with natural subject matter, and isn’t overtly sexual or morally offensive, its probably just fine! That being said, I cannot know for sure, and I never want to lead anyone on or waste their time. So if you would rather take your idea somewhere else than to wait around to see if you get the luck of the draw, I totally understand! OR, you are welcome to put your name in, and if you change your mind and we draw your name, you are under no obligation to get the tattoo and are welcome to decline.

Q: How much do you charge per hour?

A: $250 an hour with a minimum of $300.

This feels fitting for the demand I’m seeing and the speed at which I work. The $300 minimum is to insure that I am compensated for my drawing time (large and small tattoos both require drawing and planning). I will still be able to give rough estimates of time before you book your appointment, so you can have a frame of reference with which to budget.

Q: What if I have to reschedule?

A: Not a worry. Life happens. As long as you let us know you wont be able to make far enough ahead of time. If you cancel within 72 hours of your appointment, you forfeit your deposit.

And yes, as long as you give plenty of notice, “I just can’t afford it right now,” is a totally valid reason to reschedule and nothing to be embarrassed about, so please just let us know.

Q: Why didn’t you post a picture of my tattoo to your Instagram feed?

A: The most likely reason is that I just forgot! Many photos just get lost in the swarm of tattoo images on my phone at any given time. The next most likely reason is that the photos didn’t come out well. I’m not a great photographer, and I struggle to get good photos. This is one reason I always encourage my clients to send me healed photos! So often the client can take a better photo than I ever could. It’s very unlikely that I didn’t post your tattoo because I thought it turned out awful, so please don’t be worried if it somehow doesn’t make the IG feed!

Q: What do you suggest I do in order to prep for my tattoo with you?

A: Awesome question. For that, I will refer you to my blog post, on the subject, linked below. Whether it is your first tattoo, or you’ve been around the block, I suggest taking a peek. It has lots of the details you might want to consider, and some tips on how to be the best client ever:

Q: Can I bring people with me to my appointment?

A. You can have one guest come with you to your appointment.

Q: Do you do cover-ups?

A: Not at this time.
